Animaniacs premiered on Fox Kids in 1993, though it would eventually move to Kids’ WB for the remainder of its run. The series gained critical acclaim for its multilayered humor, which included innuendos and pop culture references. The series follows the Warners and their chaotic exploits on Warner Bros. studio lot, where they encounter many characters, including the beleaguered Dr. Scratchnsniff and his lovely assistant Hello Nurse.
Hulu announced it was developing a new Animaniacs series in 2018. Steven Spielberg will return as executive producer, and the series is also produced by Amblin Television and Warner Bros. Animation. The series received a two-season order, with Season 2 set to premiere sometime in 2021.
Animaniacs Season 1 arrives on Hulu Nov. 20.
